Using free printable stationery – pdf format – is a great way to have a lot of fun getting the stationery designs you need and want.
There is an abundance of both unlined and lined writing paper online, but much of it lacks pizazz, in my opinion. So I wanted to create something pretty that can make letter writing more enjoyable. To take letter receiving to a new level!
After all, so much correspondence is dependent upon technology right now. Email, texting, video apps – all are wonderful, to be sure – but everyone still loves to go to the mailbox and get a real, in-my-hands-I’m-touching-this-thing hand written letter.
Sometimes I want to encourage someone.
A physical letter is like sending a hug.
Sometimes I want to surprise someone.
A letter-arriving-in-the-mailbox absolutely does that!
Sometimes I want to send a piece of myself to someone I really care about.
What does that better than an authentic hand written letter?
When my folks passed on, I had the privilege of reading some of their pre-marital letters to one another. (They were married 56 years.)
How I loved hearing my mom’s voice again through those precious letters. Learning of her young adult concerns and her joy in their new love.
Call me sentimental (and I am!), but that experience really sealed my love of real, in-the-flesh letters.
As an artist, I love combining all sorts of art media to create cheerful and lovely free printable stationery.

Some stationary has borders all around the edges.

Lemons!
Have you seen how popular lemons are? Lemons are filled with springtime and summer joy, no matter what time of year the calendar says.
So it was an easy choice to design another cute, bright and cheery piece of artwork for letter writing using a lined paper template cozying up with a bright yellow lemon.

These free printables also come with a matching envelope with green lemon leaves – in pdf format, of course.
The envelope liner prints out on standard letter-sized paper and then you’ll need to carefully cut out the liner.
I designed it to be tucked into a #10 standard envelope and the liner will fit nicely just below the glue line on the envelope flap.

This free stationery is easy to print off using your color printer.
Pro Tip: I often run a trial piece of paper through my printer first to check that my printer settings are exactly what I want.
This lemon-and-leaves design would also look pretty on a monthly calendar or as complete stationery packs.

As I mentioned with the printable envelope liners, I designed these printable papers to print easily on US letter paper (8.5×11 inches), but feel free to download and try printing out at A4 size, too.
A4 paper size is very close to US letter size and many of my printable paper designs can be printed on either.

Yes! The Beach!
If you love the beach as I do (& I know there are a lot of us beach lovers out there), you’ll love to write your friendly letters on this little bit of surf and sand.
I had so much fun creating this tiny piece of beach. The colors are awesome, the surf is foamy and the sand is warm and inviting.
